Modern authentication must be used in mail clients using Exchange online
As of October 2022, Microsoft is phasing out the option to use basic authentication for various protocols in Exchange Online server. Instead, only modern authentication will be allowed. In iCIS v4.3.0, modern authentication with Microsoft Office 365 is supported in mail clients used in Scripts, Workflows and Adapterflows.
To replace basic autentication with modern authentication in mail clients, you need to perform some manual steps described in Authentication in mail clients using Microsoft Office 365.
- Ensure that all Scripts, Workflows and Adapterflows that use Exchange online for email activities are updated with new settings for modern authentication before October 2022, or they will stop working.
