License

The License tab contains information about the current license modules on the local machine. It is possible to activate an new license or reactivate an existing license directly from this tab.

note

A license can be directly or manually activated/reactivated via iCore Administrator. You can also activate a license using PowerShell/Cmdlets, or by running the LocalSettings.exe file directly.

License administration

To be able to run iCore, all machines must have an active license. Activation is performed on all new iCore installations, while reactivation is performed when iCore has been upgraded. The license is tied to the machine and cannot be moved.

note

If your license has a time limit, use system Event __iCore_LicenseExpirationNotification to receive a reminder when the license expiration date is approaching.

note

When upgrading from iCore v2.84 -> v3.00, the license has to be activated with a new serial number from iCore – it is not possible to reactivate the license through the Administrator. For more information, see Upgrading from iCore Process Server v2.84.
