Partner

note

Modifying this entity requires certain user authorization. For more information, see User Groups.

Partner is a comprehensive definition for a group of settings applying to a business partner. If you communicate with several different units or departments within a large company, which all require different settings, they have to be defined as different Partners in the system. Consequently, one company may have several partner identities, and each identity must be unique.

Partner is also a comprehensive definition for information that is to be added to a processing, for example information fetched from a business application. 'Partner' is one of the selection criteria for an Event configuration.

The values to configure for a Partner is not fixed. Instead, defined Partner attributes are added to each Partner. The values of all Partner attributes define the configurable values of a Partner.
